Philadelphia's race for mayor heats up early. In a city that votes largely democrat, the candidate who dominates the democratic primary at the end of May is also the expected winner in November. In 2015, the race for the democratic nomination was run by a stable of six candidates, each arguing for their recipe to tackle the issues facing the city- including funding for public schools, gun violence, the tax structure and economic inequality.
